South Place Hotel, London

Dais collaborated with Conran and Partners and D&D London commissioning a dynamic sculptural installation for the new restaurant South Place Chop House at South Place Hotel, London.

The artwork was commissioned as part of the restaurant's interior refresh and was made to enhance visitors experience of the space, as well as continue D&D London's support of local artists.

The piece was produced by Danish artist Thorbjørn Andersen who is interested in abstraction, geometry and collage. The artist creates two and three-dimensional works that explore the possibilities within the expanded field of painting. For this commission he worked with triangular sheets of glass using gold and silver leaf, metallic emulsion and oak.

South Place Chop House is a refinement of the conventional 18th Century Chop House. The restaurant is led by Head Chef Guy Betteridge and has an uncomplicated and ever-changing menu that is dedicated to seasonal and carefully sourced produce.
