Dais collaborated with Conran and Partners and D&D London providing a collection of commissioned artworks for the Bluebird Restaurant in Chelsea, London. The artworks included a large scale wall installation by Irish sculptor Kevin Callaghan, and a collection of collage prints and vinyl installations by American artist John Vincent Aranda.
Entering the restaurant you are greeted by the sculptural wall installation by Callaghan that reflects a flock of birds in flight. The installation makes a playful reference to the restaurant's name, while the mechanical appearance of the birds refers to the history of the building, which was used as a mechanical workshop in the 1920's.
Decorating other areas of the property are the framed collage prints and vinyl installations by Aranda, which also connect with the property's historical use; the artworks depicting surrealist scenes of 1920's car races, as well as floating mechanical car parts.
